mountains - wilderness - adventures
30 years of experience for your convenience
Grown up in Germany near the Swiss border at the Lake Constance, travelling to the region around the Lake Maggiore was an easy thing to do for me since I was a little boy.
I first visited this wild mountainous area in 1990. Since then I discovered nearly every "lost" track and climbed on almost every peak.
Finally, I decided to install my home in Italy in the year 2008. Now I am living in Domodossola during the main season. This is an ideal place to organize and start hikings both in the exciting National Park of Val Grande and the vast alpine zone of the Ossola mountains.
I have successfully completed a state-approved apprenticeship and became an official hiking and nature guide of the Piedmont region. After that, I completed a specialization course so I am also an official guide of the Val Grande national park. I am author of two guides to the region and responible for the contents of the official maps of the region, first published in 2018.
Because of that, and also because I speak Italian (and English...) and know the culture and the people of the region very well, I am your perfect guide for your unforgettable holiday in these isolated, inaccessible mountains!
Rely on me! Relax and enjoy your hike - I will take care about the rest, for example food, overnight-stays and the transfer within the region.
So have fun with your reliable guide in Italy!
